Recently, we can see Nike's attention for the mysterious autumn celebrations - pretty early introduced Halloween edition for Nike Kyrie 4. Another irregular silhouette of Irving's shoes is the celebration of another, slightly less known and widespread holiday.

The beginning of the Dia de los Muertos or the Day of the Dead is associated with pre-colonial times. It is believed that the dead of the first days of November will return to the living world. It is believed that the dead comes back to spend time with their loved ones, to eat, to drink, and to enjoy themselves as they used to do while living.

Mexicans waiting for returning spirits with a lot of delicious homemade food and dishes. Also graves are visited, which, like the houses, are decorated with flowers and candles. It is believed that they help the spirits to find their way back home.

In 2017, this Mexican celebration also fell on the horizons of film makers - the Pixar company created the animated film Coco, which has won many awards, including Oscars.

Since ancient times, the symbol of this holiday is considered to be a skeleton or skull - that's  how Nike decorated Kyrie's 4 "Day of the dead" version. This is not the first time when company has mentioned this extraordinary holiday - Nike Dunk boots in 2006 and Nike Air Huarache Sock in 2016 were decorated with skeletons and skulls.

P.S. the name of Huarache also came from Mexico!
