Nike introduces Oklahoma's Thunder forward Paul George's nominal basketball shoes, inspired by the legendary Playstation 1 console released in 1995.

Why Playstation? Because the basketball player is a true fan of video games since childhood - Nike wanted to make sense for his passion with the new version of basketball

"I used to play computer games just because it's a fun way to spend your free time. Now it's a great way to relax. Sometimes you want to be distracted from reality, to escape and to stay in another place at another time, "said the basketball player.

The shoes have a lot of recognizable SONY PS1 details - the left foot boott has a colorful Playstation logo on its tab, the upper part of the body is covered with controller buttons motifs, and the heels are decorated with notes in easy-to-identify branded fonts. The right-footed toe is decorated with a luminous PG logo - just like the Nike PG 2 Playstation version.

Paul George's love for computer games presented not for the first time - a version of the PG 2 shoes for Playstation 4 was previously released. Also, the Nike PG 2.5 has a version for Fortnite - the basketball player is a big fan of this, world-famous game.

"I just had skills in video games. As soon as I got to know about the PlayStation, I left the hints for my dad. I remember Christmas morning when I unpacked my gift and there was a PS2. From that day on, I'm a PlayStation fan" - says the basketball player.

George has already debuted on the court with the new version of his shoes - with his teammates he defeated the Golden State Warriors team. PG-13 played a very solid match - scored 25 points, had 9 rebounds and made 5 successful assists.
