- NBA All-star weekend is coming - starting 5's and special uniforms from Jordan revealed
Basketball fans already know which basketball players will start in Charlotte on February 17 All-Star game. The Jordan company presented special uniforms for this match.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was elected captain of the East Conference, with Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid, Kemba Walker and Kyrie Irving as the other members of starting five.
LeBron James will be leading the West team, and starting five will be complemented by Paul George, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and James Harden. Full teams rosters and players from the bench will be presented on February 7th.
For the 68th All Stars, the Jordan company has created a special outfit inspired by the 1991 All-Star game, which was also held in Charlotte.
“Because the match is taking place in Charlotte, we have a great opportunity to look at the rich history of this city and the close relationship with Jordan. The main highlight is the inspiration of 1991 and the delicate design of black and white” - said Jordan Design Vice President David Creech.
The selected clothing style and design details will take you to 1991 and the All Star game for the first time held in Charlotte. Uniforms have the details of the local Hornets team - the stars will be filled with a honeycomb pattern. "It was important for us to add details that honor the community and the great fans of Charlotte" - Creech said.
Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina, famous for its aviation heritage. Jordan found a place in the uniforms to celebrate this peculiarity - the names and numbers of the players on the T-shirt will fall with the army-inspired font.
NBA All-Star Weekend is coming soon - on February 15-17!
