Every year, when holiday season is around the corner, sneaker lovers are eagerly awaiting news from the Jordan brand. It became common to hear from the about the Air Jordan XI shoes at that time of the year. This year is no exception.

This year's model remembers the roots and shoes debut in 1995 - then the world was shaken by Michael Jordan's return to  basketball. The clean page was marked not only with the number change from 23 to 45, but also with impressive shoes.

The white and black Air Jordan XI stands out from the rest - MJ received penalty from the NBA League for ignoring uniform rules. The shoes had a detail that was not seen before - the patent leather was used.

Due to the use of this material, Jordan had to convince designer Tinker Hatfield and had his own arguments. According to him, patent leather would help to consolidate the front of the foot during fast stops and sprints. MJ also said that the shoes would become a hit outside the court because of this detail. The designer was sceptical about this offer at the beginning, but eventually agreed.

Now we can say that the decision has come to fruition and MJ's prophecies have come true - the Air Jordan XI shoes have become a real classic and an element without which the wardrobe of the collector's box is meaningless. Street style shoes also still used in NBA arenas.

The new shoes retain all the essential details of the original Air Jordan XI - white and black colors, the base of the patent leather and the number 45 which marks MJs return.
