Interview with Utenos "Juventus" forward Arvydas Šikšnius - about basketball and casual shoes, NBA league and football favorites.

Arvydas, at this moment you are one of most valuable players in your team and whole LKL league - what determines your good game?
Efforts. I am going to fight in every match and trying to win. One day it's going well, also there is days when everything goes less successful.

Your game is often characterized by powerful dunks. You've also won the Slam Dunk contests many times. Maybe the secret lies in your shoes?
Everyhting changes, now I am trying to save my energy and score two point with lay-up is enough.

How important are your basketball shoes to and how are you picking them?
Comfort is the main point. Also design and colors which I try to match with the team's gear.

Style and appearance or functionality - what is yout priority?
Functionality. It wouldn't be possible to play with such uncomfortable shoes.

What can you advice to those who choose shoes for basketball?
Everyone should choose individually, one has wider feet, the other - narrower ones. You need to measure boots and look for the most suitable ones.

How often do you look for new shoes or maybe you do it always and do not miss a chance to buy them?
From time to time. In the past, I did it more often, but I realized that I can't wear all the pairs. I'm looking for comfortable shoes, buy 2-3 models. Previously, I tried to have all Jordan sneakers.

Do you have a favorite basketball shoes series?
I do not have a favorite in basketball shoes. I love the casual Air Force 1 sneakers.

You picked Hyperdunk X Low boots? Why? Have you ever played with Hyperdunk shoes?
I had a lot of previous Hyperdunk models and I was very pleased.

Do you follow NBA League Pulse? What are your favorites?
I'm supporting of Lithuanians, I always watch how Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis are doing. Also following Warriors, Lakers news - it is enough to look at Instagram and the news comes to you.

In your photos you can see that you love stylish shoes - Jordan, adidas, Nike boots. Maybe you collect them?
In the past, I was following news striving to acquire new models, but with time it became a burden when moving from place to place. Maybe when I'm settling in one place I'll start looking.

Because I chose the low Hyperdunk X, my pick is low profile.

Nike or adidas?
Nike.

Real or Barcelona?
Neither. I have other favorites - like the Paris Saint-Germain, Munich Bayern teams.
